Sunflower Seeds
Sunflower seeds are nutrient-dense edible seeds harvested from the sunflower plant. These small, oval-shaped seeds are encased in a grayish-black shell with black and white stripes and contain a tender kernel inside. Mildly nutty in flavor and crunchy in texture, sunflower seeds are enjoyed raw, roasted, salted, or as an ingredient in a variety of food products.
Rich in healthy fats, protein, fiber, vitamin E, and selenium, sunflower seeds are recognized for their numerous health benefits. They are widely used as a healthy snack, baking ingredient, or topping for salads and cereals.
