Quinoa Seeds
Quinoa seeds are highly nutritious, gluten-free grains derived from the plant Chenopodium quinoa, native to the Andean region of South America. Often referred to as a “superfood,” quinoa is rich in complete protein, making it one of the few plant-based sources containing all nine essential amino acids.
These small, bead-like seeds come in various colors — typically white, red, and black — and have a mildly nutty flavor with a fluffy texture when cooked. Quinoa is widely used as a healthy alternative to rice or wheat, and it suits a variety of diets, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and diabetic-friendly meal plans.
Popular in both savory and sweet preparations, quinoa is valued for its high fiber, protein, iron, magnesium, and antioxidant content. It is widely consumed in salads, porridges, soups, baked goods, and as a base for grain bowls.
