Muskmelon
Muskmelon, also known as Cantaloupe or Kharbuja, belongs to the Cucurbitaceae family. It is a round to oval-shaped melon with a netted or smooth rind that varies in color from green to yellow-orange depending on the variety. The flesh is orange, sweet, juicy, and aromatic, containing small, edible seeds clustered in the central cavity.
Muskmelon is highly nutritious, rich in vitamin C, vitamin A (beta-carotene), potassium, and dietary fiber, and is low in calories. It is widely cultivated in tropical and subtropical regions and is consumed fresh, in fruit salads, juices, desserts, and smoothies. Its refreshing taste and high water content make it ideal for hydration and summer consumption.
